It’s that time again, Dave, Jason & I will be hosting another TokBox webinar this Thursday night, 10 PM EST, 7 PM PST. We will be talking through such topics as the 700 MHz spectrum, frequency coordination, dealing with wireless mics and IEMs, and anything else we (or you) can think of.
Follow us on Twitter or check back here at the blog for a TokBox link a few minutes before we start. We’ve been looking for alternatives to TokBox since we know many have had problems getting in as it fills up. So far, we have not found a good solution. Rest assured, we’re working on it, and will record the session so you can listen later.

I would love to be apart of this tokbox session but i am on the road getting the final bits of gear for our youth conference starting the next day.
You could use Tokbox for the main discussion people, and have one machine stream it for listen only people as a http audio stream, with VLC or similar…
I’m not sure of the easist way to get the audio to VLC, might just be with a couple of 1/8th” jack leads…
We’re using it here to stream everything from our main venue to the network, which our office workers can then listen in to.

is my current command-line for vlc (on windows), which I stuffed into a .bat file. The VLC streaming wizard will probably help.
Anyone can then tune in by opening vlc, or another network happy player (such as windows media player, quicktime, winamp, etc) to http://IPADDRESS:8080
